DeCotis Insurance Associates, Inc. located in Providence, RI is a wholly owned independent surplus lines brokerage firm founded in 1989. In 2007 DeCotis Insurance Assoc. of MA LLC was formed to provide services to our Massachusetts retail agents and brokers and our partners throughout northern New England. We do not solicit directly to the public; we act as an MGA for certain insurance carriers as well as a surplus lines intermediary for others, several of which are licensed (i.e. “admitted”) in Northeast, however, all are approved surplus lines insurance companies that are AM Best rated A- or better.

Our goal is to provide the same level of excellent service to our retail agents and brokers with focus on submission response, quality markets and a shared sense of urgency. We will make every effort to present the best terms and conditions available. We continually meet with new prospective markets to discuss additional brokerage and binding authority appointments and currently we are negotiating with several new facilities for this purpose.

We have found through experience that the most efficient way to conduct business in today’s climate is through electronic means – we have eliminated the paper files in our office. In 2004 we purchased and installed a state of the art software system that allows our staff to market your submission and process quotations through identical workflow procedures. This allows everything to be done consistently through electronic means no matter which underwriter you are working with as any one of us is able to open an account and determine the exact status of the submission, the assigned underwriter for the account, the terms and conditions of the policy, etc. – all at a moment’s notice. This has all been done with you, our customer, in mind – keeping with our commitment to provide the best customer service possible.

In order for us to be a viable and financially sound company for you and our employees, we need to provide quality markets and excellent service so that you will continue to submit a steady flow of business to us.
